The Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) & Pressure Monitoring Device (PMD) was Monitoring System Project encompasses the engineering, supply, and installation of 50 units of solar-powered Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Electronic Volume Corrector (EVC), flow, pressure, and temperature transmitter along a gas pipeline that stretches approximately 250 kilometers from Purwakarta to Cilegon. This initiative is part of the IFB-4 Domestic Gas Market Development Project, with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) serving as the project owner.

The RTUs and sensors are strategically placed at 50 critical points along the pipeline, including locations where gas is distributed to customers and at gas booster facilities. These units are designed to automatically collect essential data, including gas pressure, flow, temperature and volumetric flow rates. This real-time data is crucial for monitoring the performance and safety of the pipeline system.

The collected data is transmitted wirelessly via GPRS technology to a redundant servers in central control room located in Bitung, Tangerang, Banten province. In the control room, the data undergoes processing and analysis to provide vital information for both commercial and technical purposes. This information supports various needs, such as displaying at SCADA work station, billing, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the gas distribution network.
